A 25 member delegation from Australia on Wednesday met with the Progressive Dairy Farmers' Association (PDFA) to explore business ties with its company, the Progressive Dairy solutions,

The delegation focused on dairy cattle breeds and genetics; fodder grass and animal nutrition; vocational education and training in dairy farming; research and development in milk products; dairy farm consultancy and IT enabled services.

"The PDFA has been working relentlessly for the upliftment of the Punjab dairy farmers. We keen to explore associations with international partners. This helps make way for innovative technologies and the very best practices in the Indian dairy system. We are keen to adopt innovative technologies from Australia for the benefit of our farmers," PDFA president Daljit Singh said.

"Australia offers the best solutions in agriculture research, consulting, technology and equipment. It can provide inputs to value-add agricultural production; systems, services, intellectual property and technology that improve production efficiency and education and skills," Australia Trade Commissioner Mark Moley said.
