Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane have helped India to be well placed at 398-3 at lunch on the third day of the first and only test against Bangladesh.
After the second day of the match was completely washed out due to heavy rain, India, were off to a fluent start on day three, as Murali Vijay brought up his century and continued to pile on the runs.
India did suffer a few jitters when left-arm spinner Shakib al Hasan accounted for the wickets of Shikhar Dahwan (173) and Rohit Sharma in quick succession.
India also lost the wicket of skipper Virat Kohli. At one stage, India were 310 for the loss of three wickets after being 239 for no loss.
Rahane then joined Vijay and scored a quick fifty to take India to 398/3 at lunch. India is poised for a big first innings score. The Bangladesh bowlers were a lot better today, but India are still in the driver's seat, having scored 159 runs in the extended first session.
At the break, Vijay and Rahane were on 144 and 55 respectively.
