After Goa minister Dipak Dhavalikar's statement that Prime Minister Modi will make India a Hindu nation, another Goa minister has made a foot in mouth comment about this issue.
Goa's Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza has now stated that all Indians are Hindus.
D'Souza also said that India is a Hindu country and all Indians are Hindus while describing himself as a Christian Hindu.
Talking to ANI, D'Souza said, "India is a Hindu country. It is Hindustan. All Indians in Hindustan are Hindus, including I am a Christian Hindu. I am a Hindustani. There is no doubt about that, it is always a Hindu nation and will stay a Hindu nation."
Goa Minister Dipak Dhavalikar, however, had to clarify his statement on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dhavalikar said, "India has many cultures, but development should be such that the name 'Hindustan' should not fade. The nation should progress keeping in mind the interest of all equally.
