President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Uruguay on the eve of their National Day, which falls on Tuesday.
In his message to President Tabare Vazquez, President Mukherjee said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you and to the people of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day."
"India and Uruguay have traditionally enjoyed cordial bilateral relations and I am confident that our relations will expand and deepen further in the years ahead. I look forward to working with you to reinforce our warm and friendly ties," he added.
"I also take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your good health and personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Uruguay," President Mukherjee said.
