The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday stated that India's growth has attracted the attentions of investors worldwide, adding that this interest was apparent following the participation of a large number of people in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit in Gandhinagar.

"India's growth story is catching interest. A large number of investors have come. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also had successful bilateral meetings with a large number of dignitaries, including US Secretary of State John Kerry, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and World Bank president Jim Yong Kim," MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin told ANI.

Akbaruddin also stated that Prime Minister Modi and Kerry in their bilateral talks discussed US President Barack Obama's upcoming visit to India later this month.

"Prime Minister Modi had a detailed discussion with John Kerry on the forthcoming visit by US President Obama and he mentioned that India is looking forward to his visit with great enthusiasm. Both India and the US are looking forward to ensure the success of this forthcoming visit," he said.

Earlier in the day, industrialists attending the summit from across the world hailed Prime Minister Modi as an 'inspiring leader', adding that India's future looks bright under his leadership.

Apart from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and US Secretary of State John Kerry, several ministers from Europe, Japan, Australia and Canada and over 50 CEOs of top Indian as well as international companies are also participating in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit.
