Ace striker SV Sunil scored two goals as India thrashed arch-rival Pakistan 5-1 in their fourth Sultan Azlan Shah Cup encounter on Tuesday.
India started the match with a very positive approach as Manpreet Singh scored the goal in the fourth minute of the match.
But, Pakistan, who have always been a difficult opponent for India, soon equalized the score with Muhammad Irfan smashing a goal for his side in the sixth minute.
But the score remained level for just four minutes as Sunil came up with his opening goal before he netted again for India in the 41st minute.
Talwinder Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh also scored a goal each within a span of four minutes as they guided India to an emphatic victory over the arch rivals.
With the win, India have moved up to the second spot while Pakistan continue to remain on the sixth spot with three points from four matches they played.
India will next lock horns against New Zealand on Wednesday.
