Captain Virat Kohli was all smiles as India recorded an impressive seven-wicket victory in the third ODI against Zimbabwe, at Harare, to clinch the five-match ODI series with two games still remaining to be played in Bulawayo.
Kohli said in the post-match presentation that early breakthroughs with the ball had enabled them to chase a reachable target, adding that although they had won the match, there were no goals of winning the series this early.
Amit Mishra received the Man of the Match award for a 4 wicket-haul, ensuring a small Zimbabwean total, as India reached the target of 187 with more than 14 overs to spare.
The captain took the responsibility of leading his team to the finish line once again, with a knock of 68 runs that included five boundaries and one six.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean skipper Brendan Taylor admitted that it was getting frustrating for his team to miss out on runs despite having the talent and said that the players had prepared well for the series, along with expressing hopes of a better showing in the two matches left to be played.
