While Pakistan is attempting to cash in on the unrest in the Kashmir valley following the elimination of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani, India, on the other hand is welcoming Pakistani Hindu pilgrims for the Char Dham Yatra.

A group of 146 Pkistani Hindu pilgrims from Sindh is currently in Uttarkashi for the yatra.

After visiting Yamunotri, the group reached Gangotri on Friday.

Thanking the Indian Government for giving them visas for the pilgrimage, the group said it would have been better if both nations take steps to ease visa restrictions.

"We are feeling really great coming here. We are thankful to the Government of India for giving us visas to come here. We will give this message to the Government of India to end this visa system so that there is ease in travelling," a Pakistani national said.

Another Pakistani national said they were facing no problems and were happy with the arrangements.

Upper District Collector Ashok Kumar Pandey said, "Around 150 people have come from Pakistan. We welcome them. The administration will try to provide them with everything possible so that they can enjoy the journey. We want to send a message of peace between the two nations.
