Indian captain M.S Dhoni has reportedly said that he will not underestimate the New Zealand team, as India gears up to play two Tests and five one-dayers against New Zealanders on the Kiwi soil.
Following India's participation in the upcoming Asia Cup in February, India has shortened the cricket tour by one Test and one Twenty 20.
Since New Zealand would be co-hosting the 2015 World Cup with Australia, India will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with New Zealand conditions, especially during one-dayers, Sport24 reported.
Dhoni said that it will be a challenge for those who have not played in New Zealand before. However, despite facing criticism for losing the series to South Africa last month, he is confident of the team's one-day performance.
The first one-dayer is scheduled in Napier on Sunday.
