Indian e-commerce firm Snapdeal acquires RupeePower to launch financial service soon

Indian e-commerce company Snapdeal has acquired RupeePower, a provider of loans and credit cards, and will soon launch a financial service marketplace.

According to TechCrunch, Snapdeal will likely provide one billion dollars of loans over the next two years through the platform.

Snapdeal authorities said that the company will now be able to leverage the nationwide reach across more than 5000 towns and cities.

Future services will include extended warranties that Snapdeal will offer alongside the products it sells on the platform.
