Top Infosys executive Michael Reh, who was part of CEO Vishal Sikka's core team and heading the company's next-gen products and solutions business EdgeVerve, has put in his papers, according to three people familiar with the development.
Reh's departure comes suddenly after he was hired by SAP and put in charge of revamping Infosys's Finacle and EdgeVerve businesses.
Under Reh's watch, Infosys had also made several next-gen bets in the products space. Reh and his team were also exploring the use of the BlockChain database, which is the underlying technology platform behind virtual currency BitCoin, ET had reported in August last year.
Since joining Infosys last year and being tasked by Sikka to give the products business a complete makeover, Reh has been responsible for overhauling existing processes at Finacle and helped Infosys win key deals through EdgeVerve.
On Thursday, Infosys also posted robust numbers that came in ahead of market expectations and raised its full-year guidance, raising investor hopes of a strong performance in the next financial year as well.
