Australian injured skipper Michael Clarke is on course to recover from a hamstring injury in order to play a part in the upcoming World Cup, which gets underway from February 14 in Australia and New Zealand.
Team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said that Michael was progressing well in his rehab and was currently running on a regular basis and had commenced batting, Sport24 reported.
Kountouris further said that Michael remained on track for a return to play by February 21, the date they spoke of when the squad for the ICC's pinnacle tournament was announced, the report added.
Clarke, who injured his right hamstring in Adelaide Test, must recover from surgery in time for Australia's pool game against Bangladesh on February 21 or he would be replaced.
