The family of an Iranian man, accused of rape, has reportedly asked the victim to either apologize for making claim of sexual assault or be hanged to death.

According to New York Daily News, Interior designer Reyhaneh Jabbari killed Moreteza Abdolai Sarbandi after he lured her to a flat on the pretense of work, but then attacked her.

Demanding Jabbari, 26, to change her version in exchange for life, Sarbandi's son, Jalal, said that only when her true intentions are exposed and she tells the truth about her accomplice and what really went down, will the family be prepared to grant mercy.

Jalal also claimed that another man was present in the apartment when his father was killed and alleged that Jabbari had sent a text to her boyfriend saying she would kill Sarbandi.

The Iranian woman was convicted for murdering Sarbandi and sentenced to death at a subsequent trial after she confessed to her crime.

Jabbari claims that she killed Sarbandi in an act of self-defense.

Meanwhile, the report added that the woman could be hanged within weeks.
