Iran has warned that if Washington fails to comply with the nuclear deal arrangements, the agreement will collapse and Tehran may respond with reciprocal measures even if the US quits from the agreement.

The speaker of Iranian parliament, Ali Larijani on Friday said that United States policies towards the 2015 nuclear deal and its sanctions against Moscow and Tehran will spread chaos in the international community.

"It seems like the US have started some action which will eventually lead to disorder on [the] world arena," the speaker of Iranian parliament, Ali Larijani, said following a meeting on with Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the Duma lower house of Russia's parliament, Russia Today reports.

Larijani said that, "The UN nuclear watchdog has confirmed Iran's commitment to its obligations under the deal seven times to date."

"Over the past months, the Americans repeatedly violated the nuclear agreement," Larijani added.

Larijani further said, "I was surprised to hear US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson openly saying that new administrations revise old agreements. He was very clear - when Iran negotiated, you should have known that the governments change, and the agreements may change as well."

"But then you can't reach any agreements at all," Larijani said.

Iran has repeatedly insisted that its military capabilities are solely aimed for defence purposes; on the contrary the United States claims that Iran's missile tests and rocket launches violate UN Resolution 2231, which was adopted during the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.

Questioning United States President Donald Trump's authority to single-handedly scrap the landmark 2015 Iran nuclear accord -Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said last month that the pact belongs to the international community in its entirety, and not only to one or two" countries.

"The deal is the outcome of two years of intensive multilateral negotiations, overwhelmingly applauded by the international community and endorsed by the security council as a part of Resolution 2231.It belongs to the international community in its entirety, and not only to one or two countries," President Rouhani had said while addressing the U.N. General Assembly in September this year.
