Pakistan Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has said that his team will miss towering pacer Mohammad Irfan in the T20 World Cup as the fast bowler has not recovered from a hip injury.
According to Sport24, Hafeez said the team would miss the pacer's impact as his first two overs could be lethal.
However, Hafeez feels that fast bowler Umar Gul and left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar are good replacements for Irfan. He also backed the selector's decision to include wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik in the team.
Irfan who was injured during the limited-overs series against South Africa in October, will also miss the Asia Cup, followed by the T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh next month, the report added.
