A report has revealed that the Islamic State (IS) has executed an Iraqi cameraman and 12 other people in a day in several towns and villages of Baghdad.
The militants shot Raad al-Azzawi, a 37-year-old cameraman for local news channel Sama Salaheddin, his brother and two other civilians in the village of Samra in Tikrit on Friday.
Media watchdog group, Reporters without Borders (RSF), said that the Iraqi journalist, father of three, was detained by the IS on September 7 and was shot for refusing to work for them, reported News 24.
After attacking religious and ethnic minorities in the areas under its control, IS has recently executed dozens of people who it suspected of having any connection with the Shi'ite-dominated government.
