The main reason behind Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's marriage crisis may be his hardcore drug abuse, it has been revealed.
Sources revealed that the 33-year old American professional basketball player has been battling this problem for the last 2 years, and went to a facility in San Diego under pressure from his 29-year old socialite wife, who hired private investigators to secretly stand guard at the rehab to ensure he completed the treatment, TMZ.com reported.
Sources added that Odom constantly threatened to leave which forced the television personality to make several trips to prevail upon him to stay.
The Los Angeles Clippers player left after 3 weeks and stayed clean while playing for the Clippers this past season, but eventually slid back into hardcore recreational drugs.
Another source revealed that though Kardashian is convinced that her husband cheated on her, drug abuse is the real trigger behind the rocky marriage.
Reports suggest that the entire family staged an intervention, trying to convince Odom to go back to rehab and as a result of the failed intervention, Kardashian, who is more concerned about saving him than ending her marriage, reportedly threw him out of the house.
