Islamic State (IS) hostage John Cantlie has purportedly written in an article in the latest issue of Dabiq magazine that other countries will have to face the terrorist group as a nation and even "consider a truce".

According to News.com.au, it is the first time that IS terrorist group has suggested a potential scenario for cooperation.

The article written under Cantlie's byline suggests that IS has grown so strong that the US and its allies will have no option but acknowledge it as a country.

The article says that one does not generally expect a mere organization to have its own police force, mint with plans to produce their own currency, primary schools for the young, and a functioning court system.

Monash University's Professor Greg Barton said that when anything comes out in the Dabiq magazine, it is generally right from the top of their official position.
