Investigators looking into the hacking of naked photos from celebrities have revealed that they think it might be the work of "ring of hackers" based in the U.S.
According to a source, since a ring of hackers are responsible for the nude snap leak of celebs like Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Amber Heard, it will take time to track them down, New York Post reported.
The insider added that the early theory is that at least some of those in the hacking ring are US- based because some of the names on the 'master list' are actresses or personalities who are only known to someone who watches US cable TV.
Many of the stars have contacted the FBI to investigate a ring of hackers and phishers and have hired high-powered lawyers to urge websites to take the photos down.
