Islamic State (IS) militants have claimed to have stoned two men to death in northern Iraqi province of Nineveh for indulging in acts of adultery, according to photos posted online.
According to News24, one man was shown kneeling with a blindfold in front of a group of men who hurled stones at him until he was lying face down on the ground and head started bleeding.
The second man is also stoned to death similarly as the crowd including children looks on.
The authenticity of the pictures could not be immediately confirmed and it is not yet known as to when the stoning took place.
IS led an offensive last June that overran large areas north and west of Baghdad, sweeping security forces aside.
