A delegation of Islamic State militants reportedly visited the leaders of militant group Jundullah in the Balochistan province to discuss the possibility of bringing together various Pakistani militant groups.

According to Dawn News, a spokesman for militant group Jundullah- a branch of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)- said that the purpose of visit by the Islamic State group was to see how it could work to unite various Pakistani militant groups.

Only last week, the TTP sacked its spokesman for announcing allegiance to the Islamic State.

It is reported that the IS militants are seeing the internal disputes within the TTP as an opportunity to form associations with the group's estranged branches and splinter groups.

A few splinter groups recently announced their split from the TTP after disagreements and differences created following the Pakistan military-led operation "Zarb-i-Azb".
