A senior US military official has said that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is attacking Taliban militants in Afghanistan, mainly in regions close to Pakistan.

According to the Dawn, Brigadier General Wilson Shoffner said that ISIS' growth in Afghanistan could influence US plans of ending its 14-year-old military mission there.
