British intelligence agency, MI5, has revealed that British recruits to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who are now returning home are planning a "spectacular" attack on home soil that will be similar to the 2008 Mumbai attack which killed 174 people and injured 300.
Intelligence officials said that the ISIS is now planning to bring the war to the United Kingdom (UK) by targeting high profile locations/buildings in London, Birmingham or Manchester, reported The Daily Star.
The report said that the British Special Air Service (SAS) has also moved part of its counter-terrorist team to a base near London after the threat posed by the ISIS to Britain's security was raised from "substantial" to "severe."
Experts believe that the terrorists may be smuggling explosive and weapons in to the nation via shipping containers.
