Bengaluru FC midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh, has fetched a princely sum of Rs. 1.05 crore by Pune FC at the Indian Super League (ISL) auctions here on Friday.
Lyngdoh had a base price of only Rs. 27.50 lakhs.
Meanwhile, Mumbai City FC were successful in signing star footballer Sunil Chhetri for Rs. 1.20 crore, resulting in a strike partnership with French ace Nicolas Anelka.
Chhetri, who commanded the highest base price of Rs. 80 lakhs in the 10-player auction, was a free agent and will be featuring in the ISL for the first time. He starred for Bengaluru FC last season in the I-League.
