Eight bombs exploded at two railway stations in Bangladesh's Chittagong City on Monday morning, and police suspect that Islami Chhatra Shibir activists were behind it.

According to the Daily Star, the blasts were initiated over a demand for the reopening of Chittagong University's two dormitories.

Reports said no one was hurt in the blasts that occurred at the Sholoshohor and Chowdhuryhat stations.

Three hand-made bombs exploded at the Sholoshohor Railway Station at around 8. 45 a.m., while five crude bombs exploded at the Chowdhury Hat station at around 9.30 a.m.

Students are demanding the reopening of the Suhrawardi Hall and the Shah Amanat Hall, which were declared closed on August 24.
