Israel's spying activities on the US has reportedly reached an alarming level, reports have revealed.
As reported by Newsweek magazine and according to News 24, the main targets are US industrial and technical secrets, the weekly said, quoting classified briefings on legislation that would make it easier for Israeli citizens to get visas to enter America.
A congressional staffer familiar with a briefing last January called the testimony "very sobering, alarming, even terrifying", while another said that the behaviour was "damaging".
Meanwhile, a former congressional staffer who attended another classified briefing in late 2013 said that no other country close to the US continues to cross the line on espionage like the Israelis do.
The former aide was quoted as saying that while no one was surprised by these revelations, it is quite shocking to hear that apart from Israel, there are no other countries taking advantage of US' security relationship the way the Israelis are for espionage purposes.
Meanwhile, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman refuted the allegations saying that they are talking about lies and falsehood, simply libel which is baseless and unfounded.
Lieberman said that Israel was not involved in any form of espionage against the US, either direct or indirect in nature, the report added.
