Israeli aircraft have bombed a Hamas target in Gaza strip in response to a rocket fired earlier from Gaza, said Israeli military.
According to the BBC, it was first such action since the declaration of a truce in August.
Khan Yunis area's residents in Gaza said they heard two explosions while a spokesman said that the aircraft on Saturday targeted Hamas infrastructure.
The August truce had ended seven weeks of violence that had killed 2,200 people, mostly Palestinians.
The rocket, however, struck a local field and failed to cause any casualties, said local officials.
