In an effort educate people about basic functions of satellites, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Saturday organised an exhibition in Satish Dhawan Space Centre, here.
The exhibition is a part of a United Nations effort to educate young minds in the field of space research.
The UN has declared that 'World Space Week' would be celebrated across the globe from October 4 till October 10.
"We are celebrating world space week as per the UN guidlines. The basic purpose is the real use of space for the mankind which is not yet fully understood by the common man," Deputy Director ISRO, Ranganath said.
"Satellites are of great utlility, therefore we want every individual to know about how they work," he added.
The exhibition witnessed a huge turnout, especially from young enthusiasts.
