England batsman Jonathan Trott has warned his teammates that the contest is not over yet, saying that he believes that there is still hard work ahead for the English team, which is enjoying a 2-0 lead in the Ashes.

According to the Daily Star, Australia can still regain their lost glory in the third Test at Old Trafford next week as the dumped David Warner is likely to return after hitting a power-packed century for Australia A on tour in South Africa.

Although bets on a 5-0 whitewash of Australia have flooded in after England's hefty win at Lord's on Sunday, Trott said that even though his side performed well at Lord's and got a big winning margin, they would not have been totally dominant had Australia managed to win in Nottingham.

According to Trott, there is still a lot of hard work to be done as Australia is still a good team and could come back and make a lot of runs in Old Trafford, adding that it is fortunate that players like Ian Bell and Joe Root have stepped in for England.

Trott has had his own problems with two starts, two ducks and a shocker from third umpire Marais Erasmus at Trent Bridge - an overrule that the ICC later admitted was incorrect, the report added.
