Judoka, Head Constable Kalpana Devi of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) begged first ever Bronze medal for India's in World Grand Prix Tashkent in Uzbekistan.
In 52 kg weight category, Head Constable Kalpana Devi defeated Zarifa Sultonova of Uzbekistan but she could not get victory over Gili Cohen of Israel.
However, Kalpana jumped back to medal contention through repechage round, where she got the better of Brazilian Raquel Silva.
In 78 kg weight category, Suniwal Devi of India also won a Bronze medal.
Kalpana, Devi is a Head Constable of Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
Earlier in September 2010, she had also won a Bronze medal in the Women's World Cup Judo Championships held in Uzbekistan.
India has sent an eight-member team in the IJF Grand Prix Judo Championships, concluded on Monday. The Judo players will remain in Tashkent for a one-month training post the tournament.
