An Indian Army jawan was killed on

Monday in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Laam sector of Nowshera in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a militant was neutralised today by the Army during the ongoing encounter in the dense forests of Manigah and the search operation continues in attempts to flush out the remaining terrorists.

An officer and two jawans have been injured since yesterday during the operation.

Security forces have been combing the forest near the Line of Control (LoC) since November 13 after receiving information about the presence of a group of heavily-armed militants.

On November 17, Commanding Officer of 41 Rashtriya Rifles Colonel Santosh Mahadik was killed in an encounter with militants.
