The Chief Patron of the National Panthers Party, Prof. Bhim Singh has expressed his anger over a Jammu and Kashmir Minister's behaviour with the Chief Engineer of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Health Engineering Department, who resigned yesterday after being verbally abused by the former.
NCP leader Majid Memon and PDP's chief spokesman and legislator Naeem Akhtaralso quoted the incident as a reflection of the Minister's poor behavior.
Memon said, "It is very sad when people at higher positions use foul language and misbehave with people at lower positions. It should not happen. Also, the officer's reaction of resignation is too quick as an act. These things need to be avoided."
Bhim Singh told ANI, "I am happy that the media has realized to take up important issues like this. I know that Chief Engineer personally, a very honest and good man. And you start abusing him in Kashmiri and Punjabi language that too in front of everybody! He himself has said that the amount of five crores needed to implement the schemes was not allotted to him by the government itself. Then why and how is he supposed to implement it?"
Supporting the Chief Engineer, Singh said, "I would to invite that Chief Engineer from the Panther Party's side. We will make him fight the elections form Kashmir and also make him the Minister of that same department. This message should reach out to the whole of nation that a chief engineer had the guts to stand up like this."
"They will be shocked to consider the state of rest of the Kashmir, where a Chief Engineer is treated this way by a Minister," he added.
