Jennifer Lawrence has demanded 20 million dollars pay cheque to star opposite Chris Pratt in upcoming space drama 'Passengers.'
The 24-year-old actress could be fighting for equality as it was revealed by the Sony hack in 2014 that she and her 'American Hustle' co-star Amy Adams received considerably less profits than their male co-stars on the project did, despite both Lawrence and Adams' obvious star power, News.com.au reported.
As per reports, 'The Hunger Games' star was prepared to walk away from the role if Sony's new film chief, Tom Rothman, failed to uphold the 20 million dollars price tag she had been promised before he came on board.
If Lawrence succeeds in scooping the hefty fee, it will be a major win for female actors seeking equal pay.
