A track by American rapper Pitbull and actress-pop star Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been named as the official anthem for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The track, We Are One (Ole Ola), also features Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte and will be performed at the opening ceremony at the Arena de Sao Paulo on June 12.
According to the BBC, the track will be released later this year in the lead up to the World Cup and will also be included on the upcoming Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Album
Also known as Mr Worldwide, Pitbull, who has had 11 top ten singles in the Official UK chart to date, said that he believes the 'great game' of football and the power of music will help unify people, while Lopez said that she is thrilled to be performing at the World Cup opening ceremony as she grew up in a house that loved football.
The report mentioned that the last FIFA World Cup song for the 2010 tournament in South Africa was Waka Waka by Shakira, which peaked at number 21 in the UK singles chart and has been viewed almost 600 million times on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the report further said that England has been drawn in Group B for the World Cup with Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica and their first game, which is against Italy, will be played on June 14.
