The students of the Kolkata's Jadavpur University on Friday staged a protest against Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri and the screening of his film inside the campus.
Agnihotri, along with actor and politician Anupam Kher, was scheduled to attend a special screening of his film 'Buddha in a Traffic Jam' at the Triguna Bhawan in the university.
However, university authorities cancelled the screening after they learnt that the students were gathering to stage a protest.
As soon as the director reached the campus, he was shown black flags and placards by the students of university urging him to go back.
Despite, the cancellation of the film, the director decided to go ahead with screening the film on campus and faced massive protests from the students.
"Massive protest against me and the film. They are breaking the car apart. Help needed. The registrar came and stopped the peaceful screening of #BuddhaInATrafficJam massive chaos and sloganeering," Agnihotri said on Twitter.

He also said that in the protest, he also broke his shoulder.
"Unfortunate that film screening wasn't allowed. It should have been allowed," Agnihotri told ANI after his movie was not allowed to screen.
