An international exposition on stone industry is drawing huge crowd of customers, buyers, architects, builders, developers and others to Jaipur.
The four-day eighth edition of India Stonemart 2015 began on January 29 with an aim to showcase the world of natural dimensional stones, ancillary products and services.
Around 300 participants including around 100 foreign participants are showcasing various kinds of stones and their products at the exhibition.
Stonemart serves as a platform to the exhibitors to promote their products, services and brand image among the consumers from across the globe and establish business linkages.
An industrialist from Turkey, Mert, said Indian markets are well trusted around the world and they have been trading with India for close to 10 years.
"India's stone market has great potential for us, for Turkish materials. All over the world Indians are well respected people and well respected market because Indian market always keeps the line stable," said Mert.

Turkey's stall in the exhibition displays an array of sculptures made of different kinds of stones.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary of Industries of Rajasthan government, Veenu Gupta, said this exhibition was started in the year 2000.
"The purpose of this event is to showcase all those stones which are being produced in Rajasthan and also in other parts of India. So it offers a complete overview of the stone industry in Rajasthan and it has been very successful in terms of number of people visiting the fair, the buyers, and exhibitors, the amount of trade it has generated," said Gupta.
In global stone market 27 percent production of stone is done by India alone which employs around 15, 00,000 people in the country.
