Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley on Thursday rubbished Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's remark that the BJP's campaign bubble will burst like it did in 2004.
"His claims are not important. Elections are around. Their candidates are not even ready to contest. Their leaders are returning the tickets offered to them. Opinion polls are predicting a rout for the Congress," said Jaitley.
"They are fielding reluctant leaders in the electoral fray. The writing is clear on the wall," he added.
On the Congress manifesto, Jaitley said: "The promises you have made in the manifesto is not going to help you win this elections. The people will judge you on your performance.
