Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will inaugurate a one day BRICS seminar on 'Best Practices in PPPs and long-term infrastructure financing on September 22.
The seminar is being organised by the Department of Economic Affairs in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
The first session of the seminar would be on regulatory issues and financing of infrastructure.
The use of PPPs as an instrument of procurement for creation of infrastructure assets and delivery of public services will be highlighted in the second session of the seminar.
In all, there will be three technical sessions:
• Regulatory Issues and Financing of Infrastructure

• PPP Project Delivery and Post Award Contract management
Outcomes of this seminar could provide a better understanding and optimal utilization of PPPs and long-term infrastructure financing involving BRICS states.
