Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will hold a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions on comprehensive financial inclusion plan on Thursday.
During the meeting, various issues relating to ongoing financial inclusion campaign, including the role of business correspondents, technology issues and universal access to banking facilities among others will be discussed.
This will be the first meeting of Jaitley with the CEOs of Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions after taking over the charge of the Ministry in May 2014.
Alongwith above, the other issues which are likely to be discussed in the aforesaid meeting, include Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling (FLCC), Credit Guarantee Fund, Micro Insurance, Unorganised Sector Pension Schemes like Swavlamban among others.
