Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan have been added to the star cast of action thriller 'Sleepless Night, ' it has been revealed.
The picture is a "reinvention" of the 2011 French film 'Nuit Blanche,' directed by Frederic Jardin, Deadline.com reported.
The new take centers on a seemingly corrupt Las Vegas cop (Foxx). When gangsters kidnap his son as ransom for a shipment of cocaine he stole, Downs races to save his son's life without getting caught by Internal Affairs and before the mobsters discover that he's actually lost the goods. Monaghan plays an Internal Affairs agent investigating him who ultimately has to decide which side of the law he's on.
Andrea Berloff, who wrote World Trade Center and the upcoming Straight Outta Compton, penned the adaptation.
