Jamie Lee Curtis, who made her acting debut with John Carpenter's 'Halloween' back in 1978, is returning for the new installment in the horror franchise.
Curtis confirmed that she'll be reprising her iconic role of 'Laurie Strode' in the reboot after forty years.
Taking to her Twitter page, the 58-year-old actress posted a picture of her standing on the front porch with masked killer Michael Myers behind her.
She captioned the snap, "Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18."
David Gordon Green will direct the new 'Halloween,' while Carpenter will be an executive producer and creative consultant on this film.
The horror movie is being produced by Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions and Miramax.
