Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav, who met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav here on Friday, said that the Janata Parivar alliance will remain intact.
"We discussed on how to strengthen the alliance...We did not have any discussion on seat sharing.. 'Gathbandhan' pehle bhi thaa, abhi bhi hai aur aage bhi rahega (Alliance was there even before, and alliance will remain intact)," Yadav told media.
The Samajwadi Party had earlier decided to walk out of the alliance due to seat sharing issues. The SP was allocated only five seats for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls, whereas RJD and JD (U) got 100 seats each.
