Bharatiya Janata Party vice president C. P. Thakur on Thursday said the Janata Pariwar cheated Mulayam Singh Yadav.
"The Janata Pariwar thought that they have won the battle and they cheated Mulayam Singh Yadav ji, therefore, they(Samajwadi Party) felt very much insulted. It was expected that they are not respecting the party or the people but only seeing their own benefits. This is the reason why Mulayam Singh Yadav's party left this conclave," Thakur told ANI here.
Speaking on the impact of the split of Janata Pariwar and Samajwadi Party on his party, he said, " BJP is going very fast on its own wind and now, it will certainly help the BJP."
The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Thursday delivered a major setback to the Janata Pariwar by quitting it, ahead of polls in Bihar.
"The SP Parliamentary Board has decided to contest the Bihar elections independently," Ram Gopal Yadav, told the media here.
"If need be, we will speak to some other parties for support, but that is not on the table as of now," he added.
