Japanese authorities have ordered Uber to stop its pilot program in the country saying it violates a law that prohibits unlicensed taxi services.
According to News.com.au, Uber launched a pilot program in early February in Fukuoka in southern Japan, in collaboration with a local university.
The transport ministry said Uber could create problems like identification of legal responsibility and liability for compensation in traffic accidents.
Uber said that it will try to resolve these issues in order to continue its pilot program.
