The company achieved 99 per cent production waste recycle ratio and targeting 100 per cent to be recycled, UMAMI seasoning "AJI-NO-MOTO" is made from the row materials using sugar cane molasses and cassava starch.

The large-scale wastewater treatment facilities have been introduced at each plant in the world to reduce the discharged water pollution load.
Throughout the entire process of the AJINOMOTO Group's extensive wastewater treatment, cleaner water is returned to the natural environment.
At Bien Hoa Factory, Ajinomoto Vietnam also has introduced the biomass boiler to generate energy by using rice husks.
Rice husks are the unused materials under the Vietnamese rice culture.
Recently Ajinomoto Vietnam introduced biomass boiler utilizes rice husks as the carbon-neutral biomass energy source to make "stronger bio-cycle", as well as to prevent global warming.
" This bio-cycle makes more value to farmers in the rice fields, at the same time we can reduce of SOx, NOx as the exhausted gas, and especially CO2 is also reduced very much. Around 40 per cent of CO2 was dropped from the production process," said Hoang Van Quoc Chuong, Manager, Ajinomoto Bien Hoa Factory.
