Taylor Swift has opened up about how Jay Z helped her in mending her rift with Kanye West that was fueled after the rapper interrupted her winner's speech at the MTV VMAs in 2009.
While speaking to the Vanity Fair, the 25-year-old singer said that after becoming friends with the 45-year-old rapper, she and West eventually developed a mutual respect for each other, reported the Guardian.
The 'Bad Blood' hit-maker claims that she was not ready to be friends with the 38-year-old 'All Day' hit-maker until she felt that he respected her and West wanted the same.
Further, the singer added that it was important for 'Young Forever' hit-maker to settle the rift which helped Swift and West to reach a place where they could talk good things about each other.
