The Janata Dal (United) on Thursday reaffirmed its stand of bringing the Samajwadi Party (SP) back into the Janata Pariwar on a day when the latter announced a parting of ways over being ignored in seat sharing under Mahagatbandhan arrangement.

"We will talk and definitely try to find a way to resolve this," said JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav.

"Don't reach a conclusion as yet, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav is our leader. We will talk to them (SP) and we will get a solution," he added.

Senior RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad questioned the anarchical approach of the state parties over the seat sharing in the Janata Pariwar.

"Why was there no meeting on seat sharing? They should have met and decided the seat sharing, but they did not do this," said Prasad.

He further said that his party will try its best to convince the Samajwadi Party to stay under the Janata Pariwar to fight the communal forces.

The Bhatratiya Janata Party (BJP) said Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav parted ways with Janata Pariwar knowing it is a 'losing alliance'.

"The SP has distanced itself from the Janata Pariwar. It clearly sends a message across the country that Mulayam Singh Yadav and his party realised that this is a losing alliance and a losing battle in Bihar," said BJP spokesman Sambit Patra.

BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao termed Mahagathabandhan as 'Maha Gadbad Bandhan' after the fiasco.

The Samajwadi Party walked out of the Janata Pariwar and decided to contest the Bihar elections on its own, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav said.
