Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar on Monday clarified that his party's alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will work together only inside Bihar.
"We (JD-U and BJP) are working together in Bihar but when it comes to outside Bihar there are no discussions like that. There has not been an alliance like that at the national level," Kumar said while addressing a press conference here.
When asked about the possibility of the JD-U going along with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led grand alliance, which also includes Congress, the Chief Minister said, "As far as our political relations with BJP is concerned, it isn't possible to get together with some other party at some other place, leaving them behind. When you run a political party you need to keep in mind sentiments of those attached to your party."
Earlier, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had earlier said that there is no chance of forming an alliance with Nitish.
Tejashwi had also said that the people and RJD have lost faith on Nitish's credibility.
