Paul Kantner, who was a founding member and the guitarist for Jefferson Airplane, has passed away at the age of 74.
Kantner's friend and publicist confirmed that had died of multiple organ failure and septic shock, People magazine reports.
Born in San Francisco, California, the musician was best known for the hits 'Somebody To Love' and 'White Rabbit.'
Paul, who is survived by the remaining founding members of the band Jack Casady, Grace Slick, Marty Balin and Jorma Kaukonen, was also a founding member of the band's spin-off project Jefferson Starship.
