Singer Jewel recently opened up about her anxiety disorder where she asserted that the only way to conquer her fears was through songwriting.
The 'Foolish Games' hitmaker struggled through a period of homelessness as a teenager before she decided to try and step into the music industry.
The singer told the Huffington Post that by the time she was homeless, she was crippled by agoraphobia and was afraid that if she left her car, she would be stricken with illness.
Jewel further added that she started singing in front of people and told them her worst fears and then her life changed because she started letting people make her feel less lonely for the first time and they accepted her.
